1. Acceptance of These Terms#
By creating an account or otherwise using UnpackChat (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.
2. The Service#
UnpackChat is an AI-powered communication coach. You can paste a conversation or upload chat screenshots, and the Service uses artificial intelligence to analyze what was really being said, how you responded, and what you might say next.
3. Accounts#
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required by law in your jurisdiction, to use the Service.
4. Subscriptions and Payments#
Certain features require a paid subscription (“UnpackChat Pro”). Subscriptions may begin with a free trial and renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time from your account settings or the App Store. Fees are non-refundable except as required by applicable law.
5. Acceptable Use#
You agree not to misuse the Service. This includes, without limitation: attempting to reverse engineer the Service, using it to generate unlawful, harmful, or infringing content, submitting content you do not have the right to share, or interfering with the Service’s operation.
6. User Content#
You retain ownership of the conversations and screenshots you submit. You grant us a limited license to use that content solely to provide and improve the Service, which includes sending it to third-party AI services for analysis. Please do not submit sensitive, confidential, or personally identifying information about other people.
7. AI Analysis Disclaimer#
Analysis and suggestions are generated by automated AI systems. They may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unhelpful. They are not professional, psychological, legal, medical, or financial advice. You are solely responsible for how you use any output from the Service.
8. Intellectual Property#
The Service, including its software, design, and content, is owned by us and protected by applicable laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our intellectual property beyond your limited right to use the Service.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties#
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
10. Limitation of Liability#
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or one hundred dollars if you have paid nothing. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any rights you have under mandatory consumer-protection laws, including for users in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom.
11. Termination#
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, or for any other lawful reason, with or without notice.
12. Changes to These Terms#
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the Service or by other means. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
